Woven in Time

A cinematic, eclectic and mercurial guitar album. With broad soundscapes, a contemporary jazz sensibility, and rock, folk, blues, latin and eastern influences. The evolving collaboration between Chris Allard and Mike Trim has resulted in a wide-ranging album at once earthy, contemplative, considered, and yet also energetic, fiery and space-age.

 

Dreamweavers: Woven in Time features live and organic acoustic performance, multi-layered instrumentation and high-level improvising, with creatively and delicately built sonic design utilising contemporary cutting-edge production techniques; generating a distinctive and evocative sound-world.

 

Joining Chris and Mike are Jim Watson on piano and keyboards, Dudley Phillips on double and electric basses and Nick Smalley on drums and percussion. An exciting group of musicians at the very top of their game, the full band expertly balance complexity with a sense of melody, accessibility and groove. Woven in Time is the first release of new collaborative project Dreamweavers.
